come help us see them
A census of millions of dogs isn't something a small team can build. It only works if it's built by the people who already know the dogs — on their street, outside their shop, on the walk to work. That's the whole idea, and that's where you come in.
Namma Indies is being built in the open by people and organizations who care about getting this right. It's early, and there's room for a lot more hands (and paws).
Who's building it
- Akash Kulgod — co-founder and ceo at dognosis, dog-lover and pun enthusiast.
- Aswin R — computer vision engineer at dognosis and full-stack engineer.

How to help
If you know the dogs on your street — which one's new, which one's limping, which one just had pups — you already hold most of what this needs. Mapping them, naming them, keeping their story: that's the work.
If you build, the code is open, and the hard problems are wide open too — open-set re-identification, the spatial prior, honest population estimates. See how it works, then come find us.
